Single-sided corrugated paper is used as wrapping, partitioning and protection material and is defined as the combination of a sheet of flat paper (covering) with a sheet of corrugated paper (fluting). The corrugated carton (single-sided) can thus only vary as to the thickness and quality of the paper used.

Corrugated carton is an economical, flexible packaging material; resistant to drilling and with high capacity of absorption of liquids. This last feature makes the corrugated cardboard a surface protector par excellence, the fact that it has a high puncture resistance ensures a reinforced protection in the packaging, in high weights (exceeding 400 g/ m2) is especially efficient in the packaging of heavy where it stands out some furniture, aluminum plates and industrial equipment. For reasons of image it is possible to color the corrugated cardboard, this facility allows companies to easily identify their products or even each of their references. The most used colors are green and brown but nothing prevents other colors from being used.

DISMODIN strongly advises the use of corrugated cardboard in the packaging, because it is a 100 percent recycled product that allows a great reduction of the amount of urban solid waste, allows to avoid an excessive use of the natural resources, namely of raw materials like the wood and the water and also allows to reduce considerably the energy consumption.
